Visiting Us at Worship

Worship is a meaningful part of our faith.  It is a time for us to gather as a family and worship our Lord and Savior.  Below you will find some important and possibly helpful information in preparing to worship.

What is the worship service like?

  • We have one service that begins at 11:00 a.m.
  • Rarely does the service go over one hour.
  • We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of every other month.  All who believe in Jesus Christ are invited to participate.

During most services we have a responsive call to worship, prayer of confession, a moment with the children, scripture readings, sermon, offering, and singing from a hymnbook.

What should I wear?

Whatever you think is appropriate.  On any given Sunday you will probably be able to find someone in a jacket or dress as well as the person in a golf shirt or even shorts if it is warm enough.  The important thing is not what you wear but that you come!

What about infants and small children?

Children of all ages are welcomed into worship, even the crying ones.  However, for parents who are uneasy being in worship with very young children, we do have a nursery attended by a wonderful nursery worker who is training to become a nurse.  The nursery is in the education building so please ask an usher for directions.

We also have activity bulletins and crayons or pencils for ages 3-6 and 7-12.  Simply ask for the appropriate bulletin as you receive your bulletin from an usher.
